What happened

Kisha Arrone, 35, was fatally shot by three Dayton, Ohio, police officers after a domestic confrontation on April 17, 2016. A police department release states that callers reported shots fired and an argument in which Arrone allegedly threatened her partner with a handgun. Officers tried to stop Arrone as she drove through the neighborhood; police used spike strips and the pickup eventually stopped on Wexford Place. Officers said Arrone exited holding a gun and refused orders to drop it, then fired into the air while walking toward her partner and bystanders. Three officers fired, killing her. The Dayton homicide unit and Professional Standards Bureau opened investigations, and officers were placed on administrative leave.
