What happened
Mohamed Ibrahim, 28, died during a Shreveport, Louisiana, police shooting on September 6, 2015. According to KSLA's contemporaneous reporting, police were pursuing a gray Nissan they connected with two purse thefts reported earlier that day. The pursuit involved multiple agencies and reached Bossier City. Authorities said the driver fired at officers before he was shot. The police account of the initial thefts and alleged gunfire should be distinguished from an independently adjudicated reconstruction. The reviewed coverage documents the chain of police calls, chase and fatal response, but does not establish a later criminal finding concerning the shooting.
