What happened
After officers opened fire on an unarmed family on one side of the bridge, they pursued brothers Ronald and Lance Madison as they ran away. Officer Robert Faulcon shot Ronald in the back with a shotgun; police then kicked or stomped on him while he was wounded. Lance was wrongly accused of attempting to kill officers. The ensuing investigation documented a conspiracy among some officers to conceal the shootings.
