The assault allegation and CSU’s response

A former Colorado State student alleged that a Phi Delta Theta member raped her after a fraternity-associated party in October 2024.

CBS Colorado reported that CSU confirmed a responsibility finding and a one-year suspension. Reporting also describes a civil lawsuit filed in Larimer County on October 1, 2026.

Phi Delta Theta said the accused member had been removed.

The university decision and lawsuit

The account of CSU’s decision comes from reporting, including the university’s statement to CBS. The original complaint and university decisions have not been obtained; the civil claims have not been established by the filing of a lawsuit.

The reporting also describes alleged circumstances involving the party and transportation. Those details remain attributed to the accounts that reported them.

Fraternity rules and earlier reporting

Phi Delta Theta’s September 2024 risk-management rules and CSU policies provide context for questions about events, alcohol and transportation. The linked reporting covers how the institutions responded.

Earlier chapter allegations are identified separately. They do not establish common participants or what happened in the incident underlying this lawsuit.
